A lot of mommies have expressed that meal planning and prepping is a struggle, so I went live on FB and showed what I do do meal prep! The video below is an hour long and it shows you how I meal prep step by step! I am cooking and talking and explaining the thought process of how I do things, and even if you don’t want to do it the same, it’s just an example for you.

The benefits you get from meal prepping are vast:
1. Removes the guess work from your nutrition for the week
2. Ensures that you are sticking to your healthy eating
3. Saves you money because cooking at home is less than buying lunch and breakfast every day
4. When you have your food ready, you don’t go wondering around at Starbucks and therefore, you don’t get extra things of empty calories added to your diet
5. Remove the guild you would normally feel when not sticking to you nutrition plan
6. SAVE TIME
7. Feel so accomplished for creating such great eating and living habits
8. Everyone around you starts noticing how dedicated you are to your health and fitness journey and you may even inspire others to get on their own journey too
THINGS I DID THIS SUNDAY TO MEAL PREP FOR THE WEEK
1. Egg muffin cups – Check out the recipe here.
2. Turkey Burgers!!!! This are absolutely exceptional and I am not even a burger girl. I am making them AGAIN this week, as the first batch i made IS ALREADY GONE! I am thinking I can pre-make the mix, and lots of it and freeze it to have from week to week!! Kids loved it too!! Message me here: Strong Fit Mommy for the recipe (I used a recommended recipe but don’t know where it came from so will share in a personal message the pic of the recipe if you like). BUT YOU’VE GOTTA MAKE THIS!!!
3. Quinoa and veggies: boil quinoa per the packaged directions and add veggies at the end. I used half of the mix I made to stuff pepper!! it was so good! The other half went into the fridge as a side dish for the week.
4. Stuffed pepper boats – I used the quinoa mix I made above and sprinkled with cheese and voila!! This is perfect to put in containers and take to work with a side of protein. Baked the peppers in the oven for 30 min.
5. Pan seared salmon – one of my favorites. Just sear it on high heat, sprinkle spices too! What video if you want to see how I cook it!
My meals for the week are ready and packaged!!!! I added hard boiled eggs, cherry tomatoes and cucumbers, apples and bananas for snack. I lot of this I will share with the kids too. But this is what took me 1 hour to make and now it’s going to save me so much time during the week and IT’S GING TO KEEP ME ON TRACK!
My container drawer is still organized! I love keeping it organized!
I decided to fully organize my fridge and put everything in containers. And even though I didn’t take a BEFORE picture of how messy my fridge was before, i took this AWESOME picture of the AFTER…. and I am loving it!
I have never been this organized and it is so nice because now I feel that EVERYTHING is visible and therefore, EVERYTHING will be eaten!
And it felt so pack jammed before I did this and NOW it looks like I barely have anything in the fridge! And yet, I’ve got all my food for the week for the entire family!
Do you get your fridge cleaned before the beginning of the new week? Do you get it organized? If not yet, I highly recommend it, IT IS GOING TO HELP YOU KEEP YOU ON TRACK!
I even mustered the energy to clean my kitchen after my meal prep!!! It feels amazing to have clean kitchen for the kids …. even though they destroy it quickly ..
