I’ve been doing Turbo Fire for two weeks now and I have to share with you, there are so many feelings I have experienced because of this program in this short time that it is PURE AMAZINGNESS!
So I am definitely in the best shape of my life as I am in about 12 months postpartum and have done a few beachbody programs in addition to walking and swimming with my family this summer! So I felt good about starting on another program and didn’t think about it too much. I am in shape so what do I need to prepare for? I can just jump into it, right?!
TURBO FIRE IS A KILLER LET ME PREFIX WITH THAT! I was so excited to get started and I just kept trying to keep up but my hands were punching uncontrollably and my legs were kicking in whichever direction I was able to kick …. lol. I was all over the place BUT IT WAS FUN!
SO I knew that it was going to be HIGH ENERGY, cardio workout program and I also knew that it’s going to bring me back to the time when I was taking kickboxing classes at the gym, and I loved those. I REALLY WANTED TO EXPERIENCE THE FEELING OF DOING A GYM KICKBOXING CLASS …. and that is totally what you feel with program 100% on POINT!
It was so much harder than I thought, … it’s an ADVANCED PROGRAM (at least in my mind)! Even though, I am usually pretty quick to pick up movements and keep up along with the video …. This was crazy fast! The first 3 days were a blur …. I just did the modifying version of the movements and it wasn’t just the fast paste of the movement but also ….. I was fatigued!
I knew the more I do the workouts and follow the schedule, the more I will build up my endurance and agility and the more I will be able to keep up with the videos so I KEPT PUSHING!
By day 5 I was in a very good rhytm of things and following well, but I was still modifying at the end of each workout … it just took all of me to stick to the 40 min!
But what felt amazing was how I felt AFTER the workouts!!!!! BOY! I felt accomplished and so proud of myself for doing these hard, fast pace workouts, and I felt POWERFUL! I felt like there was nothing I can’t do! And I loved seeing muscle definition in my arms and my belly and FEELING THE SWEAT DRIP DOWN! There is no better feeling than the sweat dripping down.
The best part about TURBO FIRE is that Chalene works out YOUR ABS with EVERY MOVE she teaches! Your belly muscles will be sour the first week or two because of all the standing twists and crunches …and you don’t even realize you are doing them!
I added daily the 10 min ABS workout she has in this program and LORD ……. My abs have NEVER CRAMPED more than when doing THIS SUPER SIMPLE 1o min ab workout! I actually have to stop for 30 seconds and stretch because the slow crunching motions are deceiving …. you think you are not doing much and you push hard and all of a sudden you realize, your BELLY IS WORKING HARDER THAN EVER BEFORE!!
I’ve done A TON OF AB WORKOUTS!! Like a thousand of them and THIS ONE IN TURBO FIRE IS BY FAR THE MOST EFFECTIVE FOR MY BELLY I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED! Honestly, I have never done a more simple workout that gave me such great feeling in my abs.
I paired the workout plan with some awesome nutrition geared on eating veggies and proteins of course and i always have my little helpers curiously following my every movement especially in the kitchen!
I mostly worked out in the mornings right before my family wakes up and as soon as I was done every morning, I got to spend precious time with my little munchkin, cuddling and playing!
I am totally looking forward to the next few weeks of this program and NOW I KNOW WHAT I AM UP FOR! 😉 It always helps to be prepared and IN THE KNOW!
