I was not a burger girl until I tried these turkey burger recipe! And as much as liked them, I had to ‘rename’ them so my kids would eat them too! So, in our house, we call them Beef burgers or Beefe! The kids eat anything that has ‘beef’ in the name! And with this little modification, the kids LOVE them and eat them right off of the pan.
Ingredients:
1 lbs ground turkey
2 tsp olive oil
1 & 1/2 tbs dijon mustard
2 garlic cloves – minced, or 1/2 tsp jar garlic
1/4 cup onions – minced
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1 tbs Tuscan or Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup oats
3 tbs seasoned bred crumbs
1 egg
Mix all the ingredients together thoroughly and sauté (or bake – 375 degrees for 20 min, brush with olive oil sheet and burger) burgers. I prefer to saute them as it reminds of burgers my grandma used to make when i was a child. I like them golden brown and crispy on the outside (just like grandma made them)!
I like to make a huge batch for the week. They last great in the fridge and I can just pull the mix and make a few burgers for dinner with steamed veggies and it’s super fast and tasty but also made fresh that night so the kids love it!
ENJOY!
