Now that the holidays are behind us, and the New Year is approaching fast, I know I am ready to get back on my wagon of eating clean, exercising daily, and FEELING AMAZING! I am ready to set up some goals and crush them! Lets use the New Year as a RESTART button to star things over.
NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS
With the new year come the opportunities for countless beginnings. The opportunity goes as far as your imaginat
ion goals. But new year resolutions have bad connotation for some people! Why? Because they have never in the past been able to keep their resolutions in check for the entirety of the 365 days. Believe me, I know it sounds scary, but without goals, we’ve got nothing! It doesn’t matter if they are big or small, goals have to be personal to you! You have to want to change, you have to want to grow.
You have to want to experience a thriving life. If you don’t have the believe that you can stick to them, then find someone that has the believe for you and follow that person! Don’t wait for luck to come to you, work hard and grab it with both hands.
The worst part is that there are people that will give up before they even start! Your fear of failure to stick with your resolutions and make them a reality is just a THOUGH based on your previous experiences! So if you have the WILLINGNESS to create new experiences, if you have the WILLINGNESS to try, I guarantee you will be surprised by how far you can go!
TIME FOR YOURSELF
The first thing that flies out the window as life gets hectic and bustling is time to keep yourself health and fit both physically and mentally. And as the year winds down, you have to ask yourself whether you have devoted apple time to you during the last year. That is what new year resolutions are all about! Going back to CARING, LOVING, CHERISHING ourselves and our lives. We must put ourselves first in order to be THE BEST for all our responsibilities. How can you give the best of you to your kids, when you are malnourished, sleep deprived, stressed out, and burnt out?! How you feel is what you give. Why not focus on creating a daily routine that includes time for you?
GETTING BACK IN SHAPE
2 years ago I made the commitment to myself that I wanted to change more than I wanted to stay the same! I never wanted to look in the mirror and feel frustrated and depressed again. I never wanted to play the victim in my movie again. So I simply changed the story! I have 3 beautiful boys that deserve to have a mather full of energy, life and vitally! They deserve to have peace and serenity in the house. They deserve home cooked, healthy meal to nourish their growing bodies! And my husband needed to have a loving, caring wife who is there to support him every step of the way!
SO I FOUND A WAY TO CHANGE!
First I worked on my physical appearance. I didn’t have much money or time to devote to it, so I purchased an inexpensive at home workout program that guaranteed me flat abs in 60 days. I joined an online health and fitness accountability group called Fit Warriors. I changed my nutrition inside out and started nourishing my body with Shakeology. I worked daily from by bedroom. Since I hadn’t worked out for 2 years, I felt muscle sourness and discomfort daily and pushed as hard as I could.
Over those 30 days I learned how to completely change my eating habits, I started understanding what clean eating was and how to fuel your body for energy and not for comfort. I started controlling my cravings for sweets, I enjoyed drinking Shakeology which much to my surprise was a lifesaver for me. I really truly was getting healthy from the inside out! I had clearer skin, stronger nails, healthier hair and more energy! I was finally beginning to get my own BODY back! It was a great feeling! In about 90 days I was down 20 lbs, which surpassed my initial goal! And after 2 years, I have lost a total of 40 lbs (20 after each pregnancy) by working out at home in my bedroom to Beachbody workouts {21 Day Fix, Piyo, T25, Insanity Max 30, ect…} and clean eating. I had to share that with the world! So that is how this blog got started and how I became a coach.
Now, my mission is to help other women just like you truly change their lives with health and fitness.
